After the quick start for the new season and the beginning of the first visits, the new welcoming center built for the guests is opened.
Nemrut, which was accepted as the 8th wonder of the world, made a good start for the tourism season and this year it seems that it will be one of the main the focus of interests for local and foreigner tourists.
The new welcoming center, at a distance of 2 km. from the site and was planned and launched in 2012, is now open for its visitors. The old covered area was about 20 square meters and now the new place is about 4 thousand square meters.
The statement made by Mustafa Ekinci; the Director of Adiyaman Minister of Culture and Tourism: “This new welcoming center made by the Ministry of Culture & Tourism was designed to cover all the basic touristic needs of visitors. Guests visiting Nemrut will be able to have their meals, rest and get information here. The service will be covered at an indoor space 2500 square meters and a 1500 square meters of terrace. Tourists arriving here will be able to watch movies and see photos to get an idea before heading up to the peak”.
Murtaza Yakaryilmaz, who will be in charge for the service said: “The visitors will be able to get here and park their vehicles”. After they have some rest, they will be able to leave with our minibusses. The guests are welcomed in the best way and we will do our max for the best service”.
